Opening a day care service for people with multiple disabilities in Noumea, New Caledonia

The context
Noumea in New Caledonia. This is a small (the SAJ, day care services) with 15 seats, located in the city and enjoys a lively and humane urban environment rich because we are at the entrance of a park HLM where there are many people and a lot of associations. Progress, goals
We wanted to create a venue that best meets the needs of people heavily affected by disability. But we have no medical dimension, at least not yet, but our office has a doctor who specializes in the knowledge of multiple disabilities.

There are three services, two are devoted to children and youth with multiple disabilities. One of the hosts to 18 years, it's a la carte service to complement other receptions, including the school because we are a partner and a UPI CLIS4 4qui also offer during the holidays many outings and recreation. The other welcomes young adults filled day.
Finally the 3rd service welcomes physically handicapped young adults without intellectual impairment or BMI, for training in computer literacy, including desktop publishing.
These youth also have arts (visual art and writing workshop) and internships with them because we are targeting the professional integration and for each service there in total annual project and individual projects with objectives set by staff, families and when the user has the means.

Means
We 12salariés and several licensed professional counselors for art therapy activities (music, art, puppets, pottery ...), psychomotor activities and adapted sports.
Two psychologists also run two workshops one around assertiveness, the other around the constitution of a book of life.
Two pathologists also come to SAJ.
Physiotherapy is carried out by the cons on the outside.
Finally introductory courses in the techniques of cinema are offered during the holidays for young people forming at the computer.

Our facility is funded by grants come from the communities. For now the transition to a functioning daily rate is in the state study. NI just adopt a framework law backed by a comprehensive background.
